5 Limitations of Using NBR Rubber Tubes That No One Has Told You About

NBR rubber Tubes are widely used for transmitting fluids and gases, as roller covers, or even in sealing gaskets. They are well-known for their excellent oil resistance, abrasion resistance, and gas impermeability. However, NBR rubber hoses have some limitations that you should be aware of

NBR rubber Tubes are not resistant to synthetic (non-petroleum based) oils and crude oil.

NBR rubber Tubes do not withstand strong acids, ketones, esters, benzene, toluene, xylene, and similar chemicals.

NBR rubber Tubes should not be used at temperatures exceeding 120oC.

NBR rubber Tubes are not suitable for low-temperature applications as they lose flexibility and become brittle easily.

NBR rubber Tubes are not ideal for applications exposed to ozone or prolonged outdoor use,

as they degrade quickly under such conditions.
