General information
Wire reinforced air hose consists of 3 layers of materials, including tube, reinforced and cover layers. The inner layer is made of a black smooth NR&SBR rubber which helps with heat and oil mist resistance from the compressors. Meanwhile, the cover layer offers weather and abrasion resistance. However, excessive and prolonged heat can degrade the tube, as too much contact with oil will also cause a rubber to swell and fail prematurely. The other important part is the reinforcement with high tensile steel wire braiding or spiral. The wire provides support for extreme working conditions like tugging, pulling and high pressure up to 600 PSI. With all these properties, this product is known to have long service life, and to be suitable for heavy duty applications.
